Coming soon

I’ve been tossing up the idea of reanimating Pop Culture Boner for a few years now. I started the blog originally back in 2012, essentially as a sort of writing project before I started my post-graduate degree. Which sounds very formal and organised, but in hindsight, I had definitely just been awake for three days straight watching The X-Files and was slowly losing my mind. Still, its three year stint makes it the longest I’ve ever committed to anything creatively.

I re-read some of the posts recently. A lot of the ideas are things I stand by. Some of them definitely aren’t. The writing style leaves a little bit to be desired (a lot to be desired). I’m trying not to feel embarrassed by them, because I think it’s kind of cool that 22 year old me wasn’t too shy to write something and show people. So I’m going to stop procrastinating and feeling embarrassed by the idea of being another 30 year old with a podcast. (Well… I’m still going to be embarrassed by it and rightly so. But I’m going to stop letting it dictate whether or not I actually do it.)
